The right unit is a combination of size, condition, configuration, site access, and intended use. Start with these fundamentals before requesting a quote.
1. Choose the condition
One-trip / new
Typically the cleanest option with minimal handling marks. A strong fit for offices, retail, customer-facing uses, and long-term projects.
Cargo-worthy
Structurally serviceable for cargo use, with visible wear expected. Useful where function matters more than appearance.
Wind & watertight
A value-focused storage grade intended to resist normal weather, generally with more cosmetic wear and repairs.
2. Match size to use
- 10ft: compact equipment, records, tools, or constrained sites.
- 20ft: flexible general storage and easier site placement.
- 40ft: more capacity per delivery when the site has adequate access.
- High cube: approximately one extra foot of internal height for volume, insulation, or fit-out clearance.
3. Check the delivery route
Confirm road width, gate width, surface firmness, turning room, overhead wires and branches, slopes, and the direction you want the cargo doors to face. Delivery equipment needs considerably more straight-line space than the container itself.
4. Prepare a level base
Use a firm, level, well-drained placement area and support the unit at its corner castings. Longer units may need additional engineered support depending on use, loading, soil, and local requirements.
